Our story begins with HealthLine Systems in San Diego in 1985 when a few colleagues got together and introduced the first computerized physician referral software system. From there, a credentialing, patient access, and optometry electronic medical records (EMR) product line was released over the next decade. Gaining a reputation for having some of the best enterprise reporting and automation in the industry, it exponentially grew its client base of hospitals and health systems. In 2015, their success culminated in a sale to HealthStream and the rebrand to Echo, A HealthStream Company, a few months later.
Morrisey Associates, lovingly named after family members of the founders, was created when four friends gathered in Chicago in 1987 and decided to take on an emerging industry of credentialing providers to ensure patient safety. Morrisey grew their company with expertise in CVO formation and privileging best practices, utilizing a best-in-class consulting team and great software products. The same four founders celebrated their journey together when HealthStream purchased Morrisey Associates in 2016 and rebranded as Morrisey, A HealthStream Company.
Sy.Med Development in Brentwood, TN, was formed in 1995 to handle the credentialing needs and various data exchanges between providers and payers. Over the years, it grew to enjoy 1,000+ medical group clients by streamlining several back-office functions and driving significant ROIs. Sy.Med’s track record of accomplishments was validated in 2012 when it was sold to HealthStream and then rebranded as Echo, A HealthStream Company, in 2015.
Finally, CredentialMyDoc, a Savannah, Georgia-based company was acquired in 2019 and added more than 300 clients boosting VerityStream’s client base of multi-specialty medical groups. CredentialMyDoc offers Software-as-a-Service solutions that are intuitive, easy to use, and fast to implement, especially in ambulatory care settings. Its solutions are used to credential providers, enroll providers with payers for reimbursement, and apply and maintain privileges.
