In 2012, VerityStream’s parent company, HealthStream®, began its journey to offer credentialing solutions to the healthcare industry by completing the first of several acquisitions. Sy.Med was the first to join the family, followed by Healthline Systems in 2015, Morrisey Associates in 2016, and CredentialMyDoc™ in 2019. These four amazing companies were integrated into a single organization, and influenced the design and build of a new solution that was introduced to the market as CredentialStream®. Today, we are proud to say that thanks to our unbelievable team and our committed community, CredentialStream has become the fastest-growing credentialing solution in the history of the healthcare industry.

It’s been an exciting journey for sure, and things are about to get even more electrifying as we enter the next stage, which is:

  1. To align our products with HealthStream’s vision
  2. Integrate CredentialStream into the hStream ecosystem
  3. Combine our teams into one force to deliver a seamless array of solutions to the healthcare industry

VerityStream and HealthStream will operate under a unified brand to offer healthcare’s most innovative and proven applications, content, and solutions for empowering staff and delivering operational improvement. Over the next few months, you’ll see us refer to ourselves (and reintroduce ourselves) as HealthStream. In addition, you’ll notice that our company logo on products, websites, social media, emails, trade show booths, and other materials will change to HealthStream too.

But while many things will change—one thing will remain the same—our commitment to our customers and products.

The transition will also bring many new opportunities to current and future customers. Some worth noting include the following:

  • The ability to benefit from powerful integrations across HealthStream Credentialing, Learning, and Scheduling.
    • For example, during the appointment process, CredentialStream users will be able to enable providers to view and complete required training from a single hub.
    • And, as time goes on, and updated trainings are required for re-appointment, such as ACLS, BLS, and PALS, providers will be notified via the same hub and be able to complete these trainings with the click of a button.
  • The ability to streamline performance reviews by taking advantage of pre-populated performance appraisals that combine Human Resources assessments with credentialing, privileging, and ongoing professional practice evaluation (OPPE) data.

Michael Sousa, Executive Vice President, Enterprise Applications at HealthStream, states, “We are incredibly excited about this next phase of our journey. I believe the industry at large will benefit from the full power and capabilities of a combined organization. United, we offer healthcare’s most innovative and proven applications, content, and solutions for empowering staff and delivering operational improvement. At the end of the day, it’s all about improving the quality of healthcare because we all win when that’s achieved.
